Jølstravatn (or Jølstravatnet[1]) is a lake in Jølster municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It releases its water by almost 20 km long Jølstra river into Førdefjorden, a typical Fjord. The impressive eastern part of Jølstravatn is called Kjøsnesfjorden, though it is no part of the sea.

- ^ The suffix "-et" is a form of the Norwegian language definite article and means "the". Hence Jølstravatnet is equivalent to "the Jølstravatn." Both forms can be found in English language text.
