Józef Wybicki

Józef Rufin Wybicki (1747–1822) was a Polish general, poet and political figure. He was a close friend of Jan Henryk Dąbrowski, and in 1797 he wrote Mazurek Dąbrowskiego (Dąbrowski's Mazurka) which was adopted as the Polish national anthem in 1927. He was counsellor of Military Section of Provisional Temporary Council during Kościuszko Uprising.
