Stolorz was born and spent his early life in Katowice, the capital of Silesia in southern Poland. He played blues and jazz from an early age. Some of his partners later became highly renowned professional musicians: jazzmen Józef Skrzek, Henryk Gembalski, blues artist Ireneusz Dudek and Julian Gembalski, composer and organist. He studied art at Nicolai Copernicus University in Torun and art history in Lublin. After completing his studies, he moved to Wloclawek in 1972.

After completing his education, he spent several years as an art designer, mostly as a freelancer. After political restrictions were imposed by the Communist government of the People's Republic of Poland in the 1980's, he concentrated almost entirely on painting. His vernisages in the 1970's and 1980's took the form of anti-communist events, where he presented his work together with avant-garde music. Post-apocalyptic, decadent visions of his paintings were very well received in the 1980's with a clear anti-totalitarian message. He received many awards, though he mostly exhibited his art outside Poland (mostly in Germany). After the collapse of Communism in Poland, he became a member of the professional Association of Polish Artists and Designers, and he entered an "affirmative period", which lasted until the late 1990s. His paintings of that period were very detailed, painted with great precision. Stolorz's new paintings (2000's) are more reminiscent of his art at an early stage.

Stolorz always worked and presented his art to the strains of either electronic music or classical music). He has displayed paintings at over 100 exhibitions worldwide, including over 60 individual exhibitions and since 2002 has been listed in an official "Who's Who in Poland". Stolorz also supports local charities and community events. In the 1990's he moderated a music broadcast concentrated on promoting avant-garde music. Since the early 1990's he has framed his paintings by himself, individually painting each frame to exactly match the painting. He always listens to electronic or classical music while painting.
