"Resort 21" train on Izu Peninsula coast.
The Izu Kyūkō Line (伊豆急行線, Izu Kyūkō-sen?) is a Japanese railway line of Izukyū Corporation (伊豆急行, Izu Kyūkō?, "Izu Express") in Shizuoka Prefecture. The line runs along the eastern coast of the Izu Peninsula, a touristic district, between Itō Station in Itō and Izukyū-Shimoda Station in Shimoda. The line opened in 1961.
Beside railway business, the company operates resort facilities and real estate businesses. The official English name, Izukyū (伊豆急, Izukyū?), is originally an abbreviation of Japanese. The company is a subsidiary of Tōkyū Corporation.
Although located close to Greater Tokyo Area, PASMO nor Suica are accepted.
