Izmail Oblast (Ukrainian: Ізмаїльська область, Izmail’s’ka oblast’) (August 7, 1940February 15, 1954) was an oblast in the Ukrainian SSR. It had a territory of 12.4 thousand km².

The oblast was organized on August 7, 1940 on the territory of Budjak taken by the Soviet Union from Romania. It was originally known as Akkerman Oblast (Ukrainian: Акерманська область, Akermans’ka oblast’)—until December 1, 1940, when the oblast center was moved from Akkerman to Izmail. The oblast was administratively subdivided into 13 raions. On February 15, 1954, the oblast was liquidated, and all raions of the oblast were included into Odessa Oblast.
