Izhemsky District

Izhemsky District (Russian: Иже́мский райо́н) is a district (raion) of the Komi Republic, Russia. Its administrative center is the village (selo) of Izhma. District's population: 21,511 (2002 Census); 23,315 (1989 Census).

Ethnic Komi make up the largest share of total population. (86.52% in 1989). Natural increase in population was -0.66 per 1000 in 1994.
