Iyonix PC
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Iyonix PC is an Acorn-clone personal computer from Castle Technology.
Features include:
- Intel XScale 80321 600 MHz 32-bit processor
- two 64-bit and two 32-bit PCI slots
- RISC OS version 5 in hardware ROM module
- support for the Linux operating system [1]
Being the first substantial new computer for the Acorn RISC OS/ARM platform since the Risc PC, the Iyonix PC fills a key position for RISC OS users. It is comparable with what the Phoebe PC should have been had Acorn not chosen in 1998 to withdraw from the personal computer market.
Units first went on sale in December 2002.
