Iyasu III of Ethiopia

Iyasu III or Joshua III was nəgusä nägäst (16 February 1784 – 24 April 1788) of Ethiopia, and a member of the Solomonic dynasty. He was the son of Abeto Azequ, and the grandson of Iyasus II.

He was set upon the throne by Ras Abeto, and his reign of four years was disrupted by feuds between Wolde Selassie, Ras Haile Yosadiq, and others. One of the governors deposed Iyasus, who shortly afterwards died from smallpox.[1]
