Welcome to the official FAQ about me, the one and only Ixfd64!

[edit] General questions

Q: A/S/L?

A: 22/m/CA

Q: Who are you?

A: If you are some random person who got bored and decided to randomly IM me, then you should be asking yourself that question. :) I am myself; there isn't much else to it. In any case, you can check out my user page if you want to learn more about me.

Q: Do you have a picture of yourself?

A: Yes, I have some pictures on MySpace and Flickr.

Q: What the heck does "Ixfd64" mean?

A Several years ago, I was addicted to the computer game Final Doom. The URL of its official site was teamtnt.com/ixfd.htm. For some odd reason that may never be explained, I thought that the letters "ixfd" sounded cool. The game had 64 levels (32 from the Evilution episode and 32 from the Plutonia episode), and I thought that the number 64 was really cool (Nintendo 64 probably started the trend), so that is how I picked my username. I sometimes spell my name as "ixfd64" (with a lowercase "i") so people don't misread it as "Lxfd64."

[edit] Administrative questions regarding Wikipedia

Q: Why did you revert my edit?

A: You edit was probably vandalism or otherwise inappropriate. I will usually leave a message on your talk page explaining why I reverted your edit. If you feel that your edit should not have been reverted, please contact me.

Q: Why did you block me from editing?

A: If you are blocked from editing, you should have been given a message explaining why you were blocked. If you did not do anything wrong, it is likely that you share an IP with someone else who got blocked. If you feel that you should be unblocked, you can contact me or request to be unblocked.

Q: Why did you delete <article> from Wikipedia?

A: If I deleted an article, there's usually a good reason why I deleted it. You are more than welcome to discuss the deletion with me. If you still disagree with my decision, you can request a deletion review.

Q: Can you save the article about <subject> from getting deleted?

A: Although I am an administrator, I still have to follow the consensus of the community. I cannot force a change "just because I want to." This is especially true if I happen to be a supporter of the website in question. This would be a conflict of interest and I should probably stay out of it.
