[edit] San Fernando City, Pampanga

Please don't copy material from other web sites into Wikipedia unless you are sure that they are in the public domain or the copyright owners have given permission. In the case of San Fernando City, Pampanga, the website http://www.cityofsanfernando.gov.ph/profiles.php includes the message "© City of San Fernando, Pampanga | All Rights Reserved". Please do not remove copyright violation notices from pages without justifying your action on the associated Talk: (Discussion) page or on Wikipedia:Copyright problems. Thanks. --rbrwr± 12:54, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)

I work for the City Government of San Fernando and everything under tourism was written by me. You can see many items in my personal websites. I spent the whole afternoon putting all the information in wikipedia. If it's going to be deleted, nevermind.

Well, OK, that's good. If you own the copyright in the material, just say so on the relevant talk/discussion pages, revert the pages to your versions, and continue editing. If the City owns the copyright (as the copyright notice implied), the question is: are you authorized to license the material on behalf of the City? If so, you can revert and continue as before. If not, get permission to do so from whoever does have that authority before you do so. Thanks. --rbrwr± 22:32, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)

It's the other way around, the city asks materials from me. I allow them to use it.

[edit] License tagging for Image:Upsilonseal.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Upsilonseal.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:09, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Famous people or not???

Confusion on the usage of "Famous" refering to people coming from San Fernando. We're not even aware that the aforementioned figures are famous. Somebody rephrase this entry, please? Jeez! They're not even known by our folks here in Pampanga.

Another important thing. Just when did we hear local actress, Judy Ann Santos, coming from our city? She was born in Manila and never raised in San Fernando at all so why should we claim that she hails from our city? Well, ok. Her mom (Mrs. Lumagui) came from Angeles City and San Fernando but it just appears silly and highly insignificant to place her in this entry.

No, her mom is not Kapampangan at all. Her father is Manuel Dayrit Santos of San Fernando, Pampanga. If you don't know who those other people are, you're one of those who don't know your local history and heritage. That's sad. Ivanhenares 15:40, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Nicolasa Dayrit

Hi! I noticed that you cited a book as one of your sources for the Nicolasa Dayrit article, but it only has the title and the author's name. Since you have written most of the article yourself, could you please re-write the references a la MLA or APA style? You know, like those bibliographies that you can find near the end of most books, where it includes the publisher's name and also the date and place of publication. By the way, if you are having some more problems with anonymous editors, please let me know and I'll try to help as best as I can. Thanks! =) --- Tito Pao 05:31, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Ok Tito Pao, I'll rewrite the article and references as soon as I get back home later. It's the biography they use in San Fernando so I might have to edit it. I hope that anonymous contributor stops being anonymous. Thanks! Ivanhenares 19:03, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
