I just started working on this page, so there is more content to come. Ivan Eyre is one of the most important Canadian landscape artists that ever lived. A quick web search will reveal this. Why a Wikipedia article on Eyre doesn't yet exist is a mystery to me. Perhaps because a great deal of info is found on various websites.

Eyre was listed on the discussion page for Canadian Painters http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category_talk:Canadian_painters as someone who is strangely absent from Wikipedia. I've added him to the category and crossed his name off the list.

Ivan Eyre is featured in many galleries in Canada (see the list of links I've started). His landscapes alone have a unique style that make his work important. Often, he overlays his landscape with a grayscale still life or life drawing sillouetted cut-out which gives one the impression that one is seeing the landscape through a window, painted on the still life, or projected on the subject. He has also done many unique self-protraits and sculptures.
