Talk:Ivan Albright
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
His father painted quite a few paintings with individuals in them. I'm not sure what constitutes being a "landscape painter" or what one should call him, but I DO think it is misleading (at least to lay people)to call him a landscape painter and leave it at that. I have never seen one of his paintings that does not have a human figure or two as the focus of the picture. ... I have now found an article that says that he began as a landscape artist but soon became - supporting my 'experience' - a figure painter of children against landscape backgrounds.
