Ivanka Ninova

The Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Ivanka Ninova is born in the town of Vidin.
She begins her musical education in a musical school and later on continues in the Pancho Vladigerov Music Academy in Sofia. From 1989 she is a soloist of the Sofia National Opera where covers the main mezzo-soprano repertoire.
Ivanka Ninova is a sought-after performer for the parts of Princess Eboli in “Don Carlo”, Preziosilla in “La Forza del Destino”, Amneris in “Aida”, Azucena in “Il Trovatore”, Fenena in “Nabucco”, Suzuki in “Madame Butterfly”, Carmen in “Carmen” etc. Along the work in the Opera House Ivanka Ninova develops a rich concert activities as a soloist in the requiems of Mozart, Verdi, Dvorak, in Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Handel’s “Messias”, Bethoven’s “9th Symphony” and many others.
For the last years she is a lecturer in the Pancho Vladigerov Music Academy in Sofia too. Ivanka Ninova was proclaimed the best vocal artist of Bulgaria for 1992. She is a laureate of Verdi Voices competition in Bussetto, Italy 1989.
Guest artist in Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland, Ireland, Japan, Malta, Spain, Korea etc. Mrs. Ninova recorded some CD productions with Italian and French arias for mezzo-soprano under the direction of Nayden Todorov.
