Ivan Makarov

Ivan Kuzmich Makarov (Russian: Иван Кузьмич Макаров, March 23, 1822, Saransk[a]—April 9, 1897, Saint Petersburg) was a Russian painter. He was a son of the serf painter Kuzma Aleksandrovich Makarov. Under the education of Alexey Markov, Ivan Makarov chose the portrait painting, participating also in paintings of Spassky Cathedral.
Ivan Makarov traveled to Berlin, Dresden, Munich, Venice and Bologna, spending more than one and a half year in Rome.
