Ivan Cesar Asenjo (born October 27, 1979) is a Chilean footballer who plays as a midfielder or forward for Sengkang Punggol.
[edit] Football career
He started his career in then-Chilean first division team Deportes Puerto Montt, before moving to PSDS Deli Serdang in Indonesia in 2003. He played for several different clubs in Indonesia for four years before he was signed by Malaysian Premier League side Johor Pasir Gudang in 2007.
As of 2008, Asenjo is plying his trade in Singapore, where he plays for Sengkang Punggol in the S.League.
On May 21, 2008, Asenjo scored his first goal for Sengkang while playing in an S.League match against the Young Lions at the Hougang Stadium. The goal was a spectacular and significant one, as Asenjo side-volleyed Razali Johari's pinpoint cross into the goal, putting Sengkang 2-0 ahead for the first time in the entire season. Sengkang went on to win the game 3-2.
