Iustus Takayama Ukon (Hikogoro Shigetomo) was born in 1552 in Haibara-cho, Nara, Japan. He was a layperson of the archdiocese of Tokyo. He died on February 3, 1615 in Manila, Philippines.

Ukon is currently in consideration for sainthood in the Roman Catholic Church with protocol number 1241 assigned by the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.
