[edit] Please use the summary box
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

[edit] References
Please add the full reference (that is, the title, author's names, date of publication, journal of publication [if applicable]) to the computer-adaptive test article. Thanks! Once you've added your references, I'm going to change the reference style so users can link directly to the citations. Let me know here when you're done adding them. — Chris53516 (Talk) 20:47, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi! Seems like you're figuring out the reference style I mentioned above. If you name a reference, for example <ref name="Bob">Bob</ref>, then you do not need to cite the entire reference a second time. All you need to put is <ref name="Bob" />. I hope that helps! — Chris53516 (Talk) 20:57, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Duplicate Image:Stillwater Courthouse.JPG
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Stillwater Courthouse.JPG, by Staeckerbot, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Stillwater Courthouse.JPG is a duplicate of an already existing article, category or image.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Stillwater Courthouse.JPG, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Stillwater Courthouse.JPG itself. [edit] Duplicate images uploaded
Thanks for uploading Image:Boardman River in Traverse City.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Boardman River in Traverse City.JPG. The copy called Image:Boardman River in Traverse City.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot (talk) 23:14, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:New Ulm Museum.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:New Ulm Museum.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 17:32, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Museum
Is Image:New Ulm Museum.jpg the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame?--Appraiser (talk) 14:57, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- I didn't go in when I visited town, so it may contain the MMHF; but it is pictured on the historic society's website as their museum: http://www.browncountyhistorymnusa.org/. And thanks for the star! Iulus Ascanius (talk) 15:15, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

- I just got confirmation from a co-worker that the Music Hall of Fame is not in that building. I'll add it to List of museums in Minnesota. Thanks.--Appraiser (talk) 15:40, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Nice photo of Crown Center
Thanks for the photo of Crown Center. That's one of the nicest I've ever seen. It also lined up with a couple buildings I've written articles on 2345 Grand and Hyatt Regency Crown Center. I need to do one on the Westin Crown Center also. And for good measure there's the Western Auto building in the background (it's on the National Register) Thanks again! [edit] Speedy deletion of Job performance
A tag has been placed on Job performance requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ukexpat (talk) 18:01, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
