The ITV Morning News is the early morning news bulletin on the British television network ITV, broadcasting every morning at 5.30am. It is produced by ITN.
The ITV Morning News has all the main headlines of the day so far, a brief business update, and a look at some of the day's newspaper front pages. Some EPGs and TV listings refer to the programme as the ITV Early Morning News.
The programme began in early 1988 with the advent of 24-hour television on ITV. It originally ran from 5.00 till 6.00am and was the first pre-subscription television outlet in Britain to broadcast regular segments from CNN as well as the ITN World News.
[edit] Presenters
The programme has many different anchors, most of whom are newsreaders and reporters from London Today/Tonight. The presenter of the Morning News usually also presents the news summaries that air on ITV throughout the night.
