Ituzaingó is the capital of the Ituzaingó Partido in the Gran Buenos Aires metropolitan area, Argentina near Buenos Aires city.
Ituzaingó has been the capital of the Ituzaingó Partido or municipality of Buenos Aires Province since 1995, when the partido was created. Buildings of more than three storeys were until recently prohibited and most houses are only one storey high, so the area is airy and pleasant. A small shopping area around the train station connecting it with central Buenos Aires surrounds a new square, opposite the church, where people usually gather during the weekends to sightseen, stroll around and see different sort of street shows.
