Ito (Itō, Itoh, Itou) is a Japanese surname. In kanji it is commonly written as 伊藤, but sometimes it is written as 伊東 or 伊都.
Ito (糸) is a Japanese noun meaning "thread; yarn; string", and is also used as a surname in Japan.
