[edit] Olympic record

  • Since the under-21 competition rules insist that players must be 21 or under at the start of a two year competition, technically it is an U-23 competition.
  • Winner of U-21 qualify for Olympics games, Italy U-21 equal to non-UEFA countries U-23 team. and recently years Olympic games is a U-23 event, i suggest adding Olympic record to this page, and records on Mediterranean Games. Matthew_hk tc 13:09, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Current and recent players

I think it's important to keep recent players listed. For example, England national football team keeps recent players listed for 1 year after their last cap. Since U21 records are much harder to come by, and the dates of players' last caps are difficult to obtain, I propose keeping the players born in 1984 and 1985 until June 2008, one year from them becoming ineligible.
