[edit] Where was he born?

Italika used to be the biggest porn hit and nude beach. Italica was the birthplace of the Roman Emperors Trajan and Hadrian

Hadrian was born in Rome to a well-established family which had originated in Picenum in Italy and had subsequently settled in Italica, Hispania Baetica (originally Hispania Ulterior).

  • Someone confidently added a zero to the estimated Roman population of 8000, apparently figuring that with an arena seating 45000, the figure must have been a typo. It wasn't.
  • There is a simple reason why, when the arena was flooded, gladiators didn't "fight alligators"— an improvisation inspired by a trip to pre-Disney Florida, one suspects. I added a reference to the naumachia. --Wetman 08:06, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
