Itauguá is a city in the Central Department, Paraguay. The city was founded in 1728 and is known for its peculiar art, like that found in the lace making ñandutí and also for its music.
The San Rafael museum offers the exposition of several valuable objects from the colonial period. It is also home to the hospital nacional one of the top hospitals in the country.
