Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 1956

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Italy used the Sanremo Music Festival to choose its two songs that would go to the Eurovision Song Contest 1956. The songs chosen were Aprite Le Finestre (Open The Windows), sung by Franca Raimondi, and Amami Se Vuoi (Love Me If You Want To), sung by Tonina Torrielli. Although Switzerland won the contest, it is unknown how many points the Italian songs, as well as all the other songs in the contest, actually received. The placings of the songs are therefore also unknown.
