An important cultural issue dear to the hearts of many Montreal/Italians is stirring up frivolous debate: How to preserve and pass-down Italian cultural heritage onto the fourth generation of young Italians?
The creation of high-end trilingual (English/French/Italian) Kindergarten to Secondary 5 educational institutions has been proposed. The outcome of the debate remains to be seen.
