It is a good day to die can refer to a number of things:
- A song by the singer/songwriter Robbie Robertson
- A 1995 television miniseries entitled Children of the Dust starring Sidney Poitier, released on DVD under the title "A Good Day to Die"
- A book by Herman J. Viola and Jan Shelton Danis containing eye-witness accounts of the Battle of the Little Bighorn.[1]
- A quote from Crazy Horse[2] during the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Likewise reoccuring phrase spoken by the character played by Chief Dan George and others in the movie Little Big Man.
- A proverb of the fictional Klingon race in Star Trek, expressing fearlessness and the virtue of dying in battle
- "it is a good day to die" is a cheat in Warcraft II. It grants invulnerability.
- "It is a good day to die" is what the protoss unit corsair says when created in a game of starcraft.
