"It's Goin' Down" is a single by turntablists The X-Ecutioners and Linkin Park, from their 2002 debut album Built From Scratch.
It features Mike Shinoda and Joseph Hahn from the band Linkin Park. The video for the track also features cameos from Linkin Park's Rob Bourdon on drums, Phoenix on bass, and Static-X's Wayne Static on guitar, though they do not appear in the recorded song. In the music video, Linkin Park guitarist Brad Delson and vocalist Chester Bennington can be spotted, as well as other well-known musicians.
The song was written by Mike Shinoda, Joseph Hahn, and the X-Ecutioners; it features samples of the Xzibit song "Year 2000" and Linkin Park's demo tracks "Step Up" and "Dedicated". "It's Goin' Down" was produced by Mike Shinoda.
During the DJ Scratching in the second half of the song, you can clearly hear the voice saying "X-men 'bout to blast off world wide" which is their former name for the group, but changed to The X-Ecutioners due to copyright infringement.
Linkin Park has performed this song often in 2002 - 2004. They also collaborated with Snoop Dogg in one performance in which he said a few verses from "Gin and Juice".
