It's Better To Travel is the debut album of the British band Swing Out Sister, released in 1987 on Mercury Records. Upon its release, the album reached no.1 on the UK album charts. [1]

This was Swing Out Sister's debut album and contained the UK hit singles: "Breakout" (which reached No. 4 in the UK chart in October 1986), "Surrender" (No. 7 in January 1987), "Twilight World" (No. 32 in April 1987) and "Fooled By a Smile" (No. 43 in July 1987). The original vinyl release comprised the first 9 tracks shown below. The remaining tracks were added to the subsequent cassette and CD releases.
The album also garnered the band two American Grammy Award nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Group or Duo ("Breakout").
