• Ahhhh - in edit mode, you would have seen the imbedded comment noting that the isthmus is part of the isthmus category, not to mention notable and famous in and of itself, inasmuch as Dubrovnik rivaled Venice (and still does in many ways) as a major player in the Mediteranean Sea during the late middle ages and early renesance.
