István Bárány (December 20, 1907 – February 21, 1995) was a Hungarian swimmer who competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics, 1928 Summer Olympics and 1932 Summer Olympics.
In the 1924 Olympics he was twelfth in the 100 m freestyle event.
Four years later won a silver medal in 100 m freestyle event and was fourth in the 4x200 m freestyle relay event.
In the 1932 Olympics he won a bronze medal in the 4x200 m freestyle relay event and was fourth in his semifinal of 100 m freestyle event and did not advance.
