Istanbul Cavaliers

Istanbul Cavaliers is one of the strongest American football teams in Turkey. The team is a semi-pro club team attending national league held in Turkey. It was founded in 2006 with formation of two college teams namely, Sabanci Pirates and Bilgi Hunters. The team held the 5th place in Turkish American Football League in 2006. Next season, the team had achieved playoffs by held up the 2nd place in Istanbul Conference before they were eliminated by Ege Dolphins with a defeat of 20-14 in İzmir on May 2007.

The team practices at the football field in Sabanci University campus, Kurtkoy and at Fikirtepe Spor Field, Göztepe.
