[edit] Company Dalet
Hi, have you been to company Dalet or are you a madak? I'm rather curious, because I've never heard of such a company in Prison 6, having been there only 2 months ago, and there is probably more info about it which you could tell me. Thanks. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 16:14, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] British vs. American
Not blaming you or anything, but you should probably look at Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Disputes over style issues. Here's a quote:
In June 2005, the Arbitration Committee ruled that, when either of two styles is acceptable, it is inappropriate for a Wikipedia editor to change from one style to another unless there is some substantial reason for the change.
Talking of course about British vs. American spelling/grammar/wording. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 09:40, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Page Blanking
On 29-Apr, you blanked Disengagement Plan Implementation Law. Blanking pages is generally considered a bad idea. I've reverted it to the previous version. If you believe the redirect should be deleted, please follow the redirect portion of the deletion procedures. If you believe an article should be written instead of the redirect, please write a stub. If you have questions, please let me know. Thanks! -- JLaTondre 00:55, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Tremp Guide
Feel free to do whatever you want with the page. I agree the format isn't great, and much of it may not be neccessary, so if you think of a better way to arrange eveything, go for it. And yes, there are many junctions that I have yet to cover, so add what you can. It's good to see other people are starting to contribute, and that was my original intent. Good luck, and thanks. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Hendel zvi.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Hendel zvi.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:07, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Section headings - FYI
Just so you know, section headings (like ==Heading==) are not meant to be capitalized. Although this violates English grammar, the policy is caused by a technical limitation in Wikipedia. See: Wikipedia:Manual of Style (headings)#Capitalization. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 22:46, 28 April 2007 (UTC) On a side note, thank you for expanding the First Aliyah article. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 22:47, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- Did not know this - weird, but ok. And you're welcome - I'm not nearly done yet - there is so much more in the Hebrew version. Israelish 22:50, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
Also you may want to read about linking dates - basically, always link full dates (ex.: on April 29, 2007), but not individual years (ex.: in 2007), although linking the latter is not technically wrong. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 23:04, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- Got it, thanks. I'm still trying to learn some more as I edit more. btw, I'm seriously confused how you're able to edit so much - if i remember correctly, you're a מד"כ up in 6... --Israelish 23:21, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Hendel zvi.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Hendel zvi.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Y not? 15:57, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- On the English Wikipedia, unfree pictures under a claim of fair use are only allowed if a free replacement cannot be created. There's no reason why someone cannot take a free picture of Zvi Hendel, who is living. Therefore, according to our policies, it must be deleted. -- Y not? 16:05, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- It is only replaceable if such a picture is easily available - how am I to obtain such a picture? --Israelish 16:09, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- Unless your subject is in a maximum security prison or is a monk in a remote monastery in Nepal, a picture is easily available. In fact, I am sure someone on Flicker has released a privately taken picture from some public event or speech... Or just email Hendel and request he release one - worked for me before. -- Y not? 16:18, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- Is that okay now? --Israelish 16:35, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
