Interesting side note: some stores in Israel (most particularly multinationals such as SuperPharm) sell items at prices of x shekalim 99 agorot, like stores in the USA do. However, since there is no one-agora piece, this is a sheer marketing gimmick, even more so than in the USA. ralian 19:39, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Not entirely, because if you pay with a credit card or a cheque, then the sum is not rounded. Furthermore, if you buy several items, the rounding is done for the whole sum and not for each item. DrorK 08:25, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Are total prices rounded to the nearest multiple of 5 agora? --ChoChoPK (球球PK) (talk | contrib) 10:15, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
Yes, if payment is in cash. -- uriber 11:08, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
