[edit] Self-promotion?
This article seems to be merely a publicity leaflet for IPCRI. I agree that it is notable, and shouild have a Wikipedia entry; but I think this one falls short on many grounds. It is not really based on a reliable source: "Self-published material may, in some circumstances, be acceptable when produced by an established expert on the topic of the article whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable third-party publications. However, caution should be exercised when using such sources: if the information in question is really worth reporting, someone else is likely to have done so…Material from self-published and questionable sources may be used as sources in articles about themselves, so long as:…the article is not based primarily on such sources". I don't know whether it is a rule, or simply a guideline, that an article on an organisation should not be created mainly by a leading member; but this certainly seems sensible, and is one of the reasons that I have not created an article on Jews Against Zionism.
I would question several of the claims in the article. It is not "the only Israeli-Palestinian joint public policy think-tank and "do-tank" in the region"; other bodies, such as the Alternative Information Center and the Workers Advice Center could also make such a claim. The article also makes the totally unverified (and, in my opinion, unverifiable) claim that a Two-state solution is "recognized as the ultimate fulfillment of the national strategic and security interests of the two peoples", without even attempting to describe who accords this recognition.
In short, if this article is to remain, it requires serious editing -- and not only by members of IPCRI! RolandR 15:35, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
