I would also place high up on the list "to provide a FREE source of information" (free=freedom!=beer). Yes most of the information in Wikipedia is already on the web, but most of if is not in a form that can legally be freely copied and distributed. Surely freedom has to figure as a priority in your essay? If not, why don't we just be happy with Britannica and all go home? Once freedom entered into the equation there is an additional reason to include stuff in Wikipedia: because the original source is encumbered. John Dalton 08:56, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
