[edit] Herbert Sutcliffe picture

Thanks for uploading the picture of Herbert Sutcliffe ([[Image:Sutcliffe.jpg]]). Could you include information on its source and licensing details on the image page though, please? We need to be confident that there will be no copyright problems, you see; images without such details tend to get deleted these days. Thanks. Loganberry (Talk) 6 July 2005 22:50 (UTC)

[edit] Erfurt Program

I don't have enough knowledge on the subject, so I simply ask the initial author of the article: could you clarify in article on the Erfurt Program who adapted this program (SPD?) and why it is called the Erfurt Program? Moreover, I guess you mean by revolution as used in the article a socialist revolution?

Also adding a reference to a book or other publication might be useful too.

Keep up the good works!

Mea culpa on the original author thingy. Apparently I can't do three things at the same time: finalising a PHD thesis, writing an paper, and reading stuff on wikipedia... Koffieyahoo 13:31, 13 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Message

Excuse me, sir or madame. I am the author for the article, The trials of Nikki Hill. It was the publisher's blurb, but I didn't know it was a copyright violation. Don't be so quick to delete, I can certainly create another standardized page. I didn't honestly know what the minimum requirements were for a page like that. Rhetoricalwater 15:36, 10 October 2005 (UTC)

I've added a summary to the subpage category, tell me is it wiki material.Rhetoricalwater 02:14, 12 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Lemon law speedy tag

I've rewritten the Lemon law article and removed the "speedy for copyvio" tag you added. I left the AfD intact though.--Isotope23 16:50, 2 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Martin Luther and the Jews

Isolani, could you do me a favor and look in on the Talk page of Martin Luther and the Jews? I'm trying to keep this page balanced and accurate. It is proving very difficult, since I'm the sole Lutheran voice here at the moment. Would you examine my posts and tell me if I'm crazy or unreasonable? --CTSWyneken 02:21, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

Thanks! Chime in, if you'd like, if to do nothing else but say... "what he said..." --CTSWyneken 20:53, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, Isolani! It could take quite some time to translate the whole thing (it runs 140 pp. in the WA). Let's see what the folk working on these pp. will want to do. Perhaps several can work on it. --CTSWyneken 14:05, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] rvrt, on Marx Shachtman

Thanks for spoting this and reverting it. In this case, even the blogged source does not aupport the claim. Take a look at similar disputes with the same user at French Turn and Neo-conservatism. --Duncan 18:05, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

Indeed! It's not quite the worst, but I am glad I am patient. Have you look at Jacrosse's Talk page? It's astonishing. It really shows why we need more administrators. --Duncan 19:01, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
  • Yes, it's Alice through the Looking-glass. But I am not sure that anything will happen beyond 24 hour bans. He has a lot of time on his hands. I am luck that I have some energetic American making th same points as me, otherwise this bizarre invention os his will spread and spread. Of coyurse we are polite but, how do you say it, 'maar binnen wij koeken'. --Duncan 19:10, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks! I made the terrible mistake of ending my studies of Dutch and swapping for German. Now I can't speak one without using grammer and vocabulary from the other. I should be rolled out as a warning to language students of what happens if you don't exercise your language skills. Can you image the shame, as Brit, of speaking Dutch to a Flemish railwayman and being replied to in German. Terrible. --Duncan 19:18, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
That is horrible. I had to memorise the Aeneid but I think now even that would be cruel and unusual punishment. Surely students bon't have to read books these days, do they? It's all PowerPoint. P.S. You have some cool boxes on your page. I have stolen a few. Is there somewhere were they all live together? --Duncan 19:30, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Seriously, is thee anything people feel they cannot blag their way though? I had a great experience yesterday where some guy was using ad hominem as if it means personal. A tricky occurrance, but one looks even worse for pointing it out. At least you have long holidays... Okay. I'm going to log off and go home. By the way, I was just thinking was a lovely page serial comma is. How sweet. If only one could find the same enthusiasm for vulgar Marxism. Have a good weekend. --Duncan 19:47, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
The MBA was a recent move. I majored in organisational behaviour and found it very useful for poltical activities. I'm also a big fan of study. --Duncan 21:42, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Update on French Turn and Max Shachtman

I thought you might like appreciate a quick Update on French Turn and Max Shachtman; you've recently contributed there and you might have seen that a moderation was attempted on some disputed edits made by User:Jacrosse. he agreed to the moderation but did not take part in it. It agreed to delete some unsupported and referenced claims (basically, that Shachtman's current, far from fragementing and collapeing into cold-war social democarcym actually effected a Leninist takeover, both of US social democracy and then of US neo-conseratism. At this point Jacrosse is engaging in obvious acts of vandalism without even beginning to comment on the Talk pages. Perhaps Jacrosse will sit down to Talk, however it seems unlikely. Arbitration may be on the cards. If you can spare a little time over the next week or two, I would appreciate it if you could pop into Talk:French Turn or Talk:Max Shachtman. Your contribution has been very valuable and, of course, the danger is that all parties in this dispute get tangled up and lose our way towards improving the entries. Thanks for the help you've already given. --Duncan 17:05, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Beit Ha'Chidush

To the members of the WikiProject Catholocism

I have proposed at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Catholicism an infobox for Catholic Dioceses. [edit] Untagged image

An image you uploaded, Image:Iglogo.JPG, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 14:07, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] PVV

Thank you for the invitation, but, as I live in Italy, I haven't the sufficient information to speak about PVV. So sorry but I can't help you. Anyway I don't agree with you about inserting informations about Dion Graus in the article: I think that they aren't relevant in that context. I'm sorry if you feel isolated even by me...! Anyway, thanks for asking my opinion. --Checco 19:29, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

This is only modestly interesting for me but at least I have studied Dutch, which might be an asset. I don't understand the dispute enough from the Talk page to take a stance on this, which suggests the Talk pages is really needed. Good luck, and let me know if I can help. --Duncan 01:11, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bishopric vs Diocese

Good to see you want to work on this issue, in case you haven't seen it there's also a discussion at Talk:List of Roman Catholic dioceses. Though I had stumbled upon that naming chaos of the diocese and discussed about it a bit, I have been too busy with other things to actually do the work to unify those many articles. andy 12:20, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cologne

That article is almost entirely about the state, rather than the Archdiocese, and should stay at "Archbishopric of Cologne," or "Prince-Archbishopric of Cologne". Given that I made an argument on the talk page for why I moved it to Archbishopric, you could at least have discussed it before reverting. john k 16:32, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
