for the award! Any particular reason why I received it? -- Hdt83 Chat 01:22, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

P.S: The links in the menu box are going to another account page. ISOLA'd ELBA and ISOLAd’ELBA seem to be two different accounts. The ' and in your names make it so that they are different accounts. Just thought to let u know. -- Hdt83 Chat 03:40, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Fix: To fix the links, edit your user and talk page so that the link for your name ' is replaced with this '. Copy this: ' and paste in the apostrophes in your name to correct it. If you need help, just ask. -- Hdt83 Chat 23:30, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Fixed the links for you. I also put up the other pages that were mislinked for deletion. Hope this helps. :) -- Hdt83 Chat 20:43, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

Wikipedia is not Myspace. Your only contribution outside of user space, Smingus Dingus Day, is a nonsensical hoax. You are blocked for 24 hours. If you do not intend to contribute productively to this encyclopedia, you will be indefinitely blocked. Sandstein 22:23, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

I urge you to reconsider you judgment on this guy/gal (and now I am NOT him/her)! I typed in that article's name on dogpile and found oodles of sources to verify that such a holiday does indeed exist. See for example Poland's Dyngus Day, and other Easter Monday customs By Pip Wilson Please do research before blocking users and accusing them of stuff. Thank you! --172.162.73.121 04:35, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
You are right, I'm sorry. This seems to be a real holiday, although that looked much like a typical WP:NFT hoax. Redirected now to Easter Monday, where the tradition is described in more detail. Nonetheless, I will only unblock this user if they agree to do actual work in Wikipedia rather than mess around in user space. Sandstein 04:53, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
When I started edding Wikipedia I first designed my user page and next I will edit Wikipedia. I will start editting wikipedia as soon as I will be unblocked. You wrote when you blocked me 'You are blocked for 24 hours ' but I am still blocked. There is no policy that a user must first design my user space and later start edditing. Due to this your blocking was unjust. --ISOLA'd ELBA 20:17, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I do not understand why I was blocked Image:Face-surprise.svg

I do not understand why I was blocked by administrator, Durova. What does the reason "Abusing multiple accounts: Le Grand Roi des Citrouilles" mean. Please explain. --ISOLA'd ELBA 21:21, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Durova thinks you're a sockpuppet (sp?) of the other user. What you need to do is request an unblock and note that when a checkuser was done, the user who performed the check wrote, "All I can say is ISOLA didn't show up when I tested the others. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 00:05, 1 May 2007 (UTC)". Durova may be unaware of that result of the checkuser. You should be able to use that quotation as evidence of your not being Le Grand Roi des Citrouilles. If you try to edit a page, you should get the unblock request instructions. Best of luck! Sincerely, --172.146.73.249 16:09, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Hi. Just a thank you note for the award :). I really appreciate it. Cheers, Redux 17:27, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unblock

Y

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Per discussion on WP:ANI I am not convinced you are a sockpuppet

Request handled by: —dgiestc 15:42, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

My gut instinct says you are correct, but I will confer with the blocking admin, Durova before I talk any action. —dgiestc 22:31, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome back

Now that I see you're back, I'd like to remind you that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and that your first block was for working almost exclusively on your own user pages and not contributing to the encyclopedia. Please see the welcome page to learn how to contribute to the encyclopedia. —dgiestc 04:37, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
I have joined WikiProject Userboxes and plan to help Wikipedia with this WikiProject aswell as with WikiProject Clinical Medicine, WikiProject Catholicism, WikiProject California, WikiProject Anime and Manga, etc. --ISOLA'd ELBA 13:11, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to WikiProject Catholicism!

Hello, ISOLA'd ELBA, and welcome to Wikiproject Catholicism! Thank you for your generous offer to help contribute. I'm sure your input will be much appreciated. I hope you enjoy contributing here and being a Catholic Project Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to discuss anything on the project talk page, or to leave a message on my own talk page. Please remember to sign all your comments, and be bold with your edits. Again, welcome, and happy editing! Thw1309 09:55, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:IMacIcon.png

Hello, ISOLA'd ELBA. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:IMacIcon.png) was found at the following location: User:ISOLA'd ELBA/userboxes. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 04:55, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP:UW

Hi, I've removed you from active from the WP:UW project. Usually editors list themselves as interested first of all, participate a bit before becoming active. As most of your edits seem to be to your talk pages, with no issuing of user templates, I can't see at the moment how you can be active within the project as this time. However if you wish to contribute, please feel free to get involved. I recommend gaining an appreciation of the templates using them in vandal patrol, etc. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to get in contact. Cheers Khukri 21:21, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your fake new messages bar

While this is in no means binding, I urge you to remove the fake new message bar from your user page. The following rationale apply (from here):

  1. An editor may be doing a systematic task (like reverting vandalism or tagging talk pages) when they are interrupted to consider an anomaly, whether an element coded differently, or a false talk page message.
  2. Bots that look for elements (like new message boxes) may become confused and stop functioning.
  3. People find it annoying.

No one can force you to remove it, but many people, although the bars are amusing, are not too fond of them. —METS501 (talk) 02:44, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ow, my eyes.

You're giving out a lot of barnstars to people right now for excellent userpages. I don't mind, but I object to your all caps and abuse of the exclamation sign. It makes it hard to prowl the Recent Changes section to undo vandalism, and I mistake you for a vandal. You seem good, right?

So, try and calm down, kay? SBKT 21:53, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

That was very nice of you, then. Still, capslock is sorta hard to see. There's a lot of vandals who do that and it's just really confusing and hard to catch them. I should at least learn how to do up a nice userpage sometime. Last time I added userboxes I accidentally added the ENTIRE PAGE! Oh well. I'll start on that soon. SBKT
That'd be very nice. I'm just getting userboxes right now anyways, to show what I'm into and stuff. It's not screwing up yet, but I'm collecting a fair amount right now. You'll know I'm done where there's a load of them. SBKT 22:09, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] CFD

I've nominated a category you created, Category:Wikipedia Temples Created By User:ISOLA'd ELBA, for deletion. You can contribute to the discussion at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 May 17. Thanks, VegaDark (talk) 07:17, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

This has been deleted. You may not have known about Special:Prefixindex, it can perform much the same purpose for you: see http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3APrefixindex&from=ISOLA%27d+ELBA%2F&namespace=2 —dgiestc 07:56, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your user space had been deleted.

Plain and simple, Wikipedia is not a social networking website, and userspace is reserved for sufficiently active contributors and is not meant to be a personal webhost or myspace equivalent. Supporting this contention, out of your hundreds upon hundreds of edits, all but fifteen were to the User spaces. This is unacceptable, and per repeated precedent, all of your user pages have been deleted. Additionally, if you continue to make the sole focus of your edits just other people's user or user talk pages, you may face a block from editing. This is an encyclopedia. See Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. Thank you. --Jeffrey O. Gustafson - Shazaam! - <*> 08:26, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Additionally, you have repeatedly breached many of the customs and norms regarding the welcomming of users and the assignment of awards.
  • Do not welcome users who have already been welcomed. All instances of this happening have been reverted.
  • Do not welcome banned users. This is just pointless. All instances of this happening have been reverted.
  • Do not welcome users with no edits. These instances have been right out deleted.
  • Do not give out awards to users who have not edited in many many months. This is just pointless. All instances of this happening have been reverted.
  • Do not, under any circumstances, create sub-pages for users without their permission. All instances of this happening have been deleted.
Looking at your edits, it is obvious that your sole focus has been on treating Wikipedia like a social networking website. This must cease immidiately. --Jeffrey O. Gustafson - Shazaam! - <*> 21:44, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your inquiry regarding deleted userpages

Actually it was Jeffrey O. Gustafson who deleted them. If you want them undeleted, you could try at deletion review. If you try that, I suggest you be calm, polite, and explain how restoring your user pages will be of benefit to the encyclopedia. I also note you have a general page blanking warning to him; you may wish to see "Don't template the regulars". —dgiestc 20:41, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

  • ISOLA'd ELBA, the Wikipedia:Sandbox is the place to practice with cool stuff, user space is mainly to tell people who you are so we can help you build the encyclopaedia. Building the encyclopaedia is what we're here for, and if that doesn't interest you it's no big deal but you will be needing MySpace, not Wikipedia. If you do want to help build the encyclopaedia, then click this link and keep clicking it until you find a lonely, unloved article in need of improving. It rarely takes long. Guy (Help!) 21:00, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Block

As a result of your lack of contributions to the actual building of an encyclopedia, I have blocked this account indefinitely. Wikipedia is not a social networking site, which is what it appears you think it is.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 02:38, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

ISOLA'd ELBA, if you ever want to come back (I hope that you do), you could post suggestions for improving articles here on your talk page; you just need to show a willingness to improve the encyclopaedia. Hope all works out for you. Regards, Iamunknown 18:46, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
