[edit] Contesting Speedy Deletion

Isocracy was a notable band in the burgeoning Berkeley scene. They are the band that connects a lot of non-notable bands (see the track listing of Lookout! compilation "The Thing That Flyod Ate": http://www.lookoutrecords.com/catalog/item.php3?sd=630070473&matrix_id=14&bnd_id=29) to the formation of Green Day. They also are notable for the level of positive anarchy they brought to the punk scene which was increasingly becoming stiff from hardcore's tendency to "lay down the law."
