Isolation is a studio album by Toto, released in November 1984. This was one of two albums they made with Fergie Fredriksen as a vocalist, the other being the soundtrack to Dune (soundtrack). Frederiksen's predecessor, Bobby Kimball, was still in the band when they started recording Isolation, but left in the middle of the process. Some of his background vocals can still be heard on the record, for instance on their single "Stranger in town". Isolation failed to achieve the vast popularity of its predecessor, Toto IV, and only went gold. Over the years, most of the songs from this album have been largely ignored at live performances.
