Ismaeel al ali

Ismaeel Obaid Yusief Al Ali is the current UAE ambassador to South Africa.

He first became an ambassador in 1991 after leaving Kuwait shortly before the Gulf War. In 1991, he became the first UAE ambassador to the Peoples Republic of China. In 1999 he returned to the UAE, working from 1999 to 2004 as the Director of Asian and African Affairs. In 2004, he became the second UAE ambassador to the Republic of South Africa.
