Isleña Airlines

Isleña Airlines (Isleña de Inversiones SA de CV) is an airline based in La Ceiba, Honduras. It operates scheduled and charter passenger flights to Miami and to destinations in Honduras and the Cayman Islands as part of the TACA regional airline system (isleña means islander). Its main base is Golosón International Airport, La Ceiba.[1]

The airline was established in 1981 by Arturo Alvarado Wood and started operations on 31 March 1981. Initial services were between La Ceiba and Roatán. TACA has a 20% stake in the airline.[1]

Isleña Airlines operates the following services (at January 2005):[citation needed]
- Domestic scheduled destinations: Guanaja, La Ceiba, Palacios, Roatán, San Pedro Sula, Tegucigalpa and Útila.
- International scheduled destinations: Grand Cayman, Miami, Cancun.
