The Isla De La Juventud Tree Hutia or Southern Hutia (Mysateles meridionalis) is a species of rodent in the Capromyidae family. It is endemic to Cuba. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
