Isham is a village in Northamptonshire, England. It is situated on the A509 road, three miles south of Kettering (administratively it forms part of the borough of Wellingborough) and a mile to the west of Burton Latimer. The River Ise is to the east of the village.
The village has a shop, a church (St Peter's), an Independent Wesleyan chapel and a small Church of England Primary School.
There is a cricket club on the outskirts of the village between Isham and Orlingbury, home of Isham CC [1] who play in Div 1 of The Northamptonshire County League. Past players have included Stephen Flemming (NZ Captain), Johan Myburgh (SA Titans) and Mark Bolar (Wellingborough School).
Isham's two pubs are called the Monk & Minstrel and the Lilacs Inn.
A bypass west of the village is planned by the county council [2].
The village is also home to a wild bird sanctuary called 'Safewings' which cares for injured birds [3].
The HMS Isham, a Ham class minesweeper was named after the village.
