[edit] da: Primates

It's good to see that the da: site is adding new primate articles... I know 'cos I have all of the en: ones on my watchlist and I see you adding the interwiki links. If you ever see any new ones added at da: that we don't have here on en:, could you let me know? Thanks! - UtherSRG 19:03, Jan 6, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Tree frog image placement

Hi Isfisk,

Why do you keep changing the image placement in the Tree frog article? --liquidGhoul 11:04, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

What browser do you use, and at what resolution? --liquidGhoul 13:19, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
OK, I just opened the page in Internet Explorer, and it came up like you said. The problem with your new formatting, is that in Firefox, it doesn't appear on the right, but randomly placed in the middle. So, I will have to research as to how to properly format it. --liquidGhoul 22:29, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Userpage

By the way, I created a user page for you (because the redlink on "Isfisk" in the Newpages list keeps triggering my "possible new user; check for possible vandalism" reflex). It's very plain, but you can of course change it to be whatever you like. DS 17:23, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Brachycephalus_ephippium.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Brachycephalus_ephippium.jpg. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to indicate why we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies under Wikipedia's fair use guidelines, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you want the image to be deleted, tag it as {{db-unksource}}.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.

[edit] Image tagging on the Danish Wikipedia

Hi,

I assume that you are the same user as da:Bruger:Isfisk. If this is not the case then ignore the rest. On your Danish account you have uploaded a lot of images that has not been tagged. I would appreciate if you would take the time to look at your user talk page on that account and find the suitable tag for the images.

Thanks for your help. --Maitch 23:43, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Spea intermontana.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Spea intermontana.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Dethomas 17:18, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Greenbone

OK, but you got rid of my addition, Greenbone. Hve now re-added it. GrahamBould 07:42, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New species

It's great that you're adding species not yet in FishBase, but could you add references to the article when you do so? That way we have references for all the species we list, either indirectly via FishBase or directly for the new ones. See for example [1], [2], or [3]. Gdr 11:27, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Redirect

Please do not redirect genus to species and it is unnecessary to put the same authority on Genus and binomial. --Stavenn 23:30, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Arthroleptis_tanneri.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Arthroleptis_tanneri.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Names

Hi Isfisk, I see you've had a bit to do with NZ lizards, I'm wondering if you know the current ruling on whether articles should have titles of the common name or the scientific name. Most I've seen are the common name, all fish articles (except if there isn't a common name of course) for example. I was about to Move some lizard names to common names, but thought I'd better talk to someone who knows the background. Cheers GrahamBould 19:01, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mixophyes

Hey Isfisk,

You recently added two species to the Mixophyes article. I can't find the paper anywhere, do you know which journal it is in? Thanks. --liquidGhoul 13:17, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, unfortunately, my uni hasn't bought that journal. Even though the guy who wrote the paper is a senior lecturer! --liquidGhoul 13:42, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dakshina

You recently added the new genus Dakshina to the Gondwanatheria article; however, the link to organismnames.com you gave does not seem to be working (though it was working a few days ago) and I have not been able to find any other reference. Could you please provide a reference to the journal where this new genus was described? Thanks, Ucucha 13:37, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

I just found it: it is in JVP 27(2). Ucucha 16:00, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
