Talk:Isfield
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I don't see why my article should be deleted really, as it is a 'special' pub, for the fact that it is immediately adjacent to the Lavender Line, a page in Wikipedia.
- Which article? But is it notable? -- RHaworth 09:46, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
Not exactly. I suppose it should be deleted.
[edit] Rewrite of article
I have rewritten this article in accordance with [1] the Wikipedia notes on writing about settlements. The notes are very useful for editors, since they lay out all the headings which might be used and thereby bring information to mind which might not otherwise occur: examples being education and churches; and, most importantly, sections specifically head history and geography.
A couple of comments on what was there:
- the sweeping statement about Normans and others: I cannot find anything to back that up, although I've no doubt there is something somewhere. Whatever, the statement should have a reference
- the tidal section of the Ouse finishes at Barcombe Mills (several Google searches confirm that); small boats were able to use the river no doubt. Peter Shearan (talk) 14:24, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
