The Ise Line (伊勢線 Ise-sen?) is Japanese railway line in Mie Prefecture, between Kawarada Station, Yokkaichi and Tsu Station, Tsu. This is the only railway line Ise Railway (伊勢鉄道 Ise Tetsudō?) operates. The company is also known as Isetetsu (伊勢鉄?). The third sector company took former Japanese National Railways line in 1987. The line was originally built as a short cut route between Nagoya and south Kii Peninsula (Kisei Main Line). As such, JR Central limited express train Nanki and rapid train Mie still go through the line, being primary revenue streams of Ise Railway. The line also transported spectators when the nearby Suzuka Circuit had the F1 race. Local trains, on the other hand, have disappointing riderships, as the nearby Kintetsu Nagoya Line has much more frequent services.
