[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Powerontap.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Powerontap.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:34, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- I edited the description indicating how it's licensed (OpenBSD along with the reset of the framework). I'm not certain however that the way I modified it really conforms to Wikipedia's needs with regard to documentation of licensing. If not, feel free to either fix it or let me know how to fix it and I will. Thanks. ike (talk) 07:37, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Powerontap.png
Thank you for uploading Image:Powerontap.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 21:32, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
- This was supposed to be a substitute for the image powerontap.gif (available under the OpenBSD license as part of the onTap framework distribution) -- I didn't realize that changing the file name would create a new file instead of replacing the gif and I don't think it offers the copyright selection when you're editing an existing file (like I was). I also can't find any way to delete the original gif now that it's no longer needed. :-/ ike (talk) 21:46, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
