[edit] Trantor

Isn't Pebble in the Sky set in like 827 GE and isn't Trantor mentioned by the people on Earth in regards to the Empire it is building? I could be mistaken but it seems worthy of mention if it is accurate because that would add another link to the Foundation series Cbing01 08:40, 30 Jul 2004 (UTC)

The Empire in Pebble is not just being built: it is co-extensive with the galaxy. Currents occurs during the period when Trantor and other systems have become affiliated into a single political entity, but one which controls only certain sectors.

The result of the proposal was no consensus to remove "Galactic" from the title but moved to fix capitalization of "series." JPG-GR (talk) 02:54, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

I have usually only seen this refered to as the "Empire series," not the "Galactic Empire series," especially here on Wikipedia. Should the name be changed to reflect that? Also, do we capitalize "series" or not? —ScouterSig 15:52, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

  • Oppose I've mostly seen this referred to as Galactic Empire trilogy, and stylistically, "series" should not be capitalized. 70.55.84.42 (talk) 07:06, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
I have fixed the caps issue you mentioned. —ScouterSig 15:36, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Comment As Asimov's Foundation series is located at Foundation series, is there any reason why this wouldn't be located at Galactic Empire series, Empire series, or Galactic Empire trilogy or whatever is decided upon? JPG-GR (talk) 18:17, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
    • I think because there is only one thing called "Foundation series," while there could be multiple "robot series" or "empire series." In fact, there are two of each: one each by Asimov, and one each "commissioned" by him and his estate as sequels. It's a form of disambiguation, I assume. —ScouterSig 18:36, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
