Isawa (胆沢町; -chou) was a town in Isawa District, Iwate, Japan. On February 20, 2006 Isawa merged with several other municipalities into Oshu.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 17,415 and a density of 58.44 persons per km². The total area is 298.02 km².
Isawa is well known for its capsicum (green pepper).
