Isam Bachiri is a Danish rapper/singer, who raps for the multi-award winning hip-hop group Outlandish. Isam was born in Denmark and of Moroccan descent. He is well known for his soulful voice, deep and open-minded lyrics, is a Muslim, and often makes comments about how Muslims are treated as second class citizens in Denmark.
Having released three albums with Outlandish, albums which were mainly recorded in English and Spanish, he released his first solo album in 2007 titled Institution, which was recorded entirely in Danish.
Isam Bachiri mainly writes his own lyrics. The two notable exceptions to this rule are Rene Camboni who has co-written most of his Danish tracks, and Omar Shah who has written / cowritten several tracks on the third Outlandish album Closer Than Veins, as well as Isams lyrics on collaborations with fellow muslim artists Sami Yusuf and Native Deen
He currently resides at Brøndby Strand along with the other band members.
